Global Village Event Recap!

This week the Global Village hosted its International Quiz Show. Participants guessed the answers to questions about famous people and places, languages sung in popular music, fun facts learned in previous Global Village events, and an eclectic mix of quirky trivia. Some questions were tricky, and some were surprising, sparking lively conversation and new friendships.

On Thursday, July 6, Iwate University staff Chika Yamashita and Kazunori Aikawa will give a presentation and Q/A session on how English skills helped pave the way toward international and Japanese career opportunities. Bring your lunch, and a friend! All are welcome to attend.

今週のグローバルビレッジイベントは国際クイズショー！有名な人や場所、今までのグローバルビレッジイベントに関するクイズ、今話題のヒット曲のカバーが何語で歌われているかのクイズ、厳選されたトリビアの数々を参加者の学生は楽しみました。トリッキーな問題もあれば、驚きの答えもありました。会話も弾み、交流の輪を広げる学生の姿が見られました。

次回のグローバルビレッジイベントは7月6日（木）です！岩手大学の職員である山下千佳さんと相川和慶さんが、英語がいかに日本と国際的なキャリアへの機会の手助けになるのかについて、プレゼンテーションとQ/Aセッションを行ってくださいます。誰でも参加OKです！ランチを持って、友達も誘ってぜひグローバルビレッジへ！
